With this game being the first game in five weeks with only one training session I must admit I wasn’t
expecting much from these games. But I am glad to say that this weekend was possibly the best team and individual performances
that they have ever produced. With us losing to Hednesford last time out, this win was priceless. With two great
goals by Kaine and some amazing defending especially from Reece, we deserved the three points. Well done to you all.
Bustleholme United 1 Sporting Kalsa 1
Last time we played Sporting we didn’t do ourselves justice so all I asked from the team was do the best you can
and play as a team. That exactly what they did, they all worked hard forwards and backwards. Some great individual
performances and some great team work. This was the way we all know they can play. First half was held to nil
nil and then in the second half Alex Hayes ran onto the ball and striked a sweet ball past the keeper. Five minutes
later Sporting went forward to equalise. With only minutes left the ball came out of Sporting’s defence to Adam
who was in our half who controlled the ball and volleyed it as hard as he could and nearly straight into the back of the net
but for Sporting’s keeper some stopped it.
Conclusion for the weekend: Some great football played with four points from six against two of the better sides in the
league and some brilliant performances especially Reece Webb Who had the weekend of his life but has now set his own target
to hit each and every week. Well done to you all.
