Blades (0) V Willenhall Town (Reds) (2) Sunday 9th November 2008 In the most appalling conditions this
season but playing on a great surface, Blades took this game to Willenhall and matched them (and in fact outplayed them at
times) over the game. Blades had the ball in the net in the first half courtesy of a VERY well taken Reece Bowen goal
following a superb cross in from Ryan Stanley. Regretably it was ruled out for a very tight offside decision. At that point
in the game had Blades gone 1-0 up they would have really made things hard for Willenhall but, as these things go, Blades
instead found themselves 1-0 down at the break after an excellent Willenhall strike that was hit perfectly into the roof of
the net from the edge of the Penalty area. After the break, Blades continued where they'd left off and took the game to
Willenhall again but without reward despite going close on a number of occasions. Passages of really good football followed
time and time again from Blades and every player gave their all. Unfortunately Willenhall got the break they needed and
another unstoppable shot went in despite Blades' best efforts. The Blades boys battled all the way to end and never gave
up but could not get the break they deserved and it finished 2-0 to Willenhall. A magnificent effort from every single
Blades player today and they were truly unlucky. Men of the Match: Sunny Johal and Daniel Foster who were outstanding in
their respective positions
