Eurofast (6) v Blades(1) Despite the suggestion of the scoreline, Blades played very well today in a match against
a good Eurofast side bolstered by summer signings of two or three talented players. A third minute Ricky Sira well
taken goal following excellent team play and superb final ball in by Rio saw Blades play superbly well in the first
half and at the interval they went in 1-1 following a late equaliser from a cheaply conceded goal. After the break Blades
again showing their fighting spirit and matched Eurofast for a good spell until they got a second goal when Blades failed
to close down quickly enough and paid the price. Two quick goals from Eurofast whilst Blades were trying to recover their
composure took their toll and Blades found it increasingly difficult to get back in the game. Blades though to their credit
showed great character and put together some good play without able to break Eurofast down. Two excellent strikes from
superb play by Eurofast was hard to cope with and they ended 6-1 winners. Eurofast Manager and Coach both felt that they
weren't 5 goals better than Blades and that we deserved more out of the game. Blades spirit and team play were very good
today and the lads showed that they are going to fight all the way. No excuses but both teams were disappointed with a
poor Refereeing display that saw Eurofast's fourth goal blatantly handled to control it and a number of clear offsides ignored
by the referee despite signals from Blades Linesman.Add to that him showing a yellow card to the wrong player and you get
some idea of what the teams were up against. All of this combined to conspire against the Blades but their superb spirit
shone through. Man of the Match was a difficult choice today between Ryan Stanley and Edward Parsons - the decison going
in Edward's favour for another solid 70 minutes performance.
