Wiilenhall Town (Reds) (4) v Blades (0) Not the best of starts to the League campaign for Blades
as they went down 4-0 to a team who (according to one of their supporters) were "nowhere near 4 goals better"!
Blades though
(in reality) were second to the ball on far too many occasions, didn't close play down quickly enough and were knocked off
the ball (and their mental game) by a "canny" Willenhall side who knew just which buttons to press!
So, no excuses for
the Blades who weren't up for it enough today. Sadly, another game when the attitude of some players had to be called into
question - a few "wanted it", some didn't want it enough and some just clearly didn't want it at all!!
If there is any
positive it's that we got "done" 7-2 at the same game last year so i guess not conceding the same number is good. Another
positive was a well deserved man of the match award for Edward Parsons _ top drawer stuff today from a rapidly developing
player who can go a long way.
Message for the Blades - it's going to be a long hard season (even if we've only played one
game!) unless you buck your ideas up and play like i know you can and start listening to what we ask
See you all at training on Wednesday (6.30pm PROMPT) at Churchfields for an attempt to put right what we did poorly
in this match
